UPDATED 12/7/2024I can offer nothing but the highest acolades for Bear Country Septic Services, Casey & Mara. After Casey advised me in October 2024 of a failing septic tank (collapsing mid-wall) I had a new one installed, via Casey's referral to Rhino Rock. In the first week December 2024, after the new tank was installed and functional, Bear Country pumped the old one, as per El Paso County CO regulations, so it could be crushed and buried. True to Mara's word I was given a $50 credit to offset the initial $150 service call charge when Casey discovered the problem and could not actually pump the old tank in October . Also the coordination between Rhino Rock's installation and Bear Country was PERFECT !! Needless to say Bear Country is my new Septic Service provider.*********Orig Review October 2024Contacted Bear Country to try them for the routine septic tank service I do every 5 years (2 persons in residence). First contact was with Mara who is very personable, and she arranged an appt for her partner Casey to come out to the Peyton Hills area. Casey opened the septic cover and advised me that he couldn't pump out the tank because the 'Mid Wall' inside was in process of collapsing and I would need to have a septic installation place come out to put in a new septic tank. Not sure what the average lifespan of these things is, but 30 years seems kind of short. He mentioned that my existing tank, installed in 1993, was of lower quality that is no longer acceptable by the county (not exact quote, words to that effect). Casey was very informative and after providing an explanation as to the nature of the existing issue concluded that he could/should NOT pump the septic that day given the weakness of the mid wall which would likely collapse further if the tank was pumped out. * I was charged $150 for him coming out which I though a bit excessive given no actual pumping was done. $100 would have seemed more appropriate. Perhaps a part of the $150 is applied to the return visit to pump when the old tank is being removed and the new septic system is being installed ? ? We'll see. Follow up review will be provided after remedy of current problem concluded.

Very easy company to work with. They were on time and very friendly. And will use them again. Nothing but nice things to say about this company.

Mara communicated with me effortlessly and was knowledgeable when answering my questions. Casey was on time, polite, and knowledgeable. We had a great experience, if/when we have any more septic needs, they’ll be our go-to!

This company deserves more than a five star rating. Mara answered the phone at almost 5pm on a Friday knowing the person calling was probably in trouble. Although they could not come out to pump our septic that night she took the time to walk us through some things with pictures etc that helped is get through the weekend and we were then able to get the tanks pumped out. Mara and Casy are wonderful, outstanding business owners. This is the kind of company that you want to do business with. We wish them great success. They came through when other companies were not so kind.
